We are pleased to present the 2020 NJCA Board of Directors

We especially welcome new Board Members Dr. Lawrence S. Feinsod, Melissa C. NJSBA is a federation of the state’s 581 local boards of education and includes 75 charter schools as associate members. Melissa C. Potter is a strategic communications expert in the corporate social responsibility and nonprofit arenas. Ms. Potter is the head of Social Impact and Communications of Odyssey Impact and Transform Films, in New York City, NY and will bring her extensive experience in nationally focused social impact messaging and community engagement to our community. NJCA sincerely appreciates the dedication and service of two of our outgoing Board Members, The Honorable Earl Pomeroy and The Honorable Mark Rey.Since 2011, both Mr. Pomeroy and Mr. Rey have played an enormous role in NJCA’s success and used their vast and broad experience and knowledge to expertly guide the Board and staff through many complex issues and opportunities. Having served 18 years as a member of Congress, including as a founding co-chair of the Friends of Job Corps Congressional Caucus, Mr. Pomeroy’s experience, and legislative expertise proved to be a huge asset to our program. Similarly, Mr. Rey’s previous service as the Under Secretary for Natural Resources and Environment of the U.S. Department of Agriculture and legislative background provided our board with a unique perspective and guidance relating to the support of the U.S. Forest Service and its Job Corps Civilian Conservation Centers.

Our thanks to all Board Members for the volunteering of their time to support NJCA. We look forward to working collaboratively with the NJCA Board of Directors to advance the mission of the Association and further promote Job Corps, its students, staff, and communities.

Thanks for your service Honorable Earl Pomeroy and Honorable Mark Rey
Welcome Melissa Potter, Dr. Lawrence Feinsod and Eric Weaver
