In 2015 the Job Corps community lost a longtime champion and advocate, Ray Bramucci. A NJCA Board member, retired Assistant Secretary of the Employment and Training Administration, Ray deeply cared for the underserved youth served by Job Corps. He was a consistent visitor of the Edison Job Corps Center in his home state of New Jersey. On Friday, September 23, the NJCA – along with its sister organization, Foundation for Youth Opportunities – joined Ray’s wife, Susan, to remember his legacy by planting a dogwood tree on Edison’s campus. Rep. Frank Pallone staff was a part of the memorial ceremony, as was Edison students, graduates and staff.
