Job Corps marks 50 years

DES MOINES — On Monday, Gov. Terry Branstad signed the 50th anniversary proclamation of Job Corps in the governor’s formal office in the State Capital Building in Des Moines.

Ottumwa Job Corps trainees attending were Courvoisier Walters, Jessica Hayes, Chisa Nakajima, Tonesha Barnes, Tyre Webster and Tiffany Dixon along with Ottumwa’s Center Director Mark Douglas, Business and Community Liaison Director David Humburg and State Rep. Mary Gaskill. Members of the Denison Job Corp’s team included Center Director Steve Reitan, business and community liaison along with six trainers and three other staff members.
