WASHINGTON (8/15/14) — U.S. Rep. Ed Whitfield (KY-01), Chairman of the House Subcommittee on Energy and Power, is pleased to congratulate the Job Corps Program for 50 years of service to millions of at-risk youth whose lives have been forever changed by the program and to give a special recognition to the Earle C. Clements and Muhlenberg Job Corps Centers located in Kentucky’s 1st Congressional District.
This week Job Corps Centers around the country began the kick-off of their Golden Anniversary celebration.
The Earle C. Clement Job Corps Center in Morganfield and Muhlenberg Job Corps Center in Muhlenberg both provide a vital service to Kentucky’s 1st Congressional District by serving hundreds of disadvantaged youth between 16 and 24 years of age. Through Job Corps, these students receive an education and career training skills to help them obtain a job and become productive members of the community.
